Full Job Description

As a Service Manager in Family Help, you will oversee the performance and quality of practice of multiple teams and projects across the Family Help service area. Responsibilities include but are not limited to:

  • Ensuring the Council meets its statutory obligations to safeguard and promote the welfare of children, complying with legislation, statutory guidance, policy and procedures and relevant frameworks
  • Providing professional and managerial leadership ensuring a high standard of service delivery in line with the vision and values of the City Council
  • Initiating and developing strong working relationships both internally and externally
  • Modelling inclusive practice in relation to identity and diversity, challenging any issues of concern
  • Visibly promoting and demonstrating a strong commitment to equality and non-discriminatory practice in all areas of the service and wider business
  • Ensuring that the strategic vision is translated into clear objectives and initiatives
  • Encouraging a continuous improvement environment to develop an outstanding service
