If you're passionate about making a difference and embody values of compassion, openness, and boldness, then you might be the perfect fit for the role of Hotspot/Outreach Sessional Worker on the Change Grow Live Routes off the Street Team in Camden. About the Role: In this dynamic and exciting position, you'll be part of a proactive and friendly team dedicated to supporting individuals facing homelessness and substance misuse issues. Our team helps people transition from street life to appropriate support services, working closely with the police and Camden Community Presence Officers to ensure a holistic approach to community safety and individual well-being. Responsibilities,

  • Compassionate Support: Engage with individuals involved in street activities such as begging, street drinking, and rough sleeping. Provide empathetic and individualised support to help them access necessary services.
  • Collaborative Efforts: Work alongside various agencies to ensure a joined-up approach that addresses both community safety and individual support needs.
  • Flexible Approach: Adapt to the unique challenges each day brings, offering the best service possible to people experiencing homelessness.

    Empathy and Adaptability: Treat every person as an individual, showing curiosity, adaptability, and excellent listening skills.
  • Proactivity and Communication: Be proactive in ensuring ongoing support and possess strong communication and teamwork skills.
  • Understanding and Knowledge: Have an understanding of issues faced by vulnerable individuals, such as homelessness, mental health, the criminal justice system, and substance misuse. Knowledge of the Camden area and its services is desirable.
  • Attention to Detail: Enjoy paperwork and have good attention to detail, as accurate record-keeping is an essential part of the role.
  • Flexibility: Be willing to work some unsocial hours to meet the needs of the people we support.
