Full Job Description

  • To ensure that the tendered Social Value commitments are met
  • To manage recruitment and onboarding for the Surrey contract
  • In conjunction with the SCAM and OSM/ Base Managers, manage ER issues in line with company policies & procedures
  • Promote positive ER within the contract
  • People
  • To be the primary contact for applicants & new starters ensuring a positive recruitment & onboarding experience
  • To build relationships with relevant external stakeholders i.e. Job Centre to support recruitment commitments
  • As the ER manager - must be approachable and supportive to colleagues to foster the same work environment
  • To be flexible - carry out any other duties as and when required by the management
  • To be able to effectively communicate with all stakeholders
  • To carry out the duties of the post due with regard to the Company's equal opportunities policy
  • Customers/Clients
  • To provide quarterly reports on progress on agreed SV commitments. Current commitments are:
  • 1. Employing local people - 71% of Surrey workforce will be from Surrey growing 1% each year 2. Local people from disadvantaged groups - employ one person per year 3. Shadowing programme - for homeless/unemployed for long period experiencing the role, if they want employment they will be offered a position. 4. Homeless - employ 3 homeless people over contract term 5. Veterans - employ 2 ex-forces personnel over contract term 6. Apprenticeships - one apprenticeship each year of the contract 7. Work placements/experience - support a local school with their leavers each year - work experience, mock interviews
  • Attend and provide updates at client meetings

  • To provide management information/reports as and when necessary for the Senior Client Account Manager
  • Onboarding new starters
  • To monitor the level of absence and sickness providing recommendations where appropriate
  • To support the OSM and SCAM with ER concerns and meetings
  • To undertake the duties of the post in accordance with the Quality Assurance systems and procedures within the service

  • Improving retention of staff and recruiting to target numbers
  • Revenue optimisation through delivery of KPIs

    HR/ER experience
  • To have a good level of computer literacy in Microsoft Office, including Word, Excel and Outlook
  • Excellent communication skills - both internally with colleagues and in engaging external stakeholders
  • Organisation and Delegation skills
  • Qualifications
  • A good standard of Education
  • Knowledge
  • HR and recruitment experience would be beneficial
