The Opportunity Weaver Vale Housing Trust has an exciting opportunity for someone who is looking to develop their career with a great company. We are looking for a driven, diligent, and friendly Solicitor/Chartered Legal Executive to join our Legal and Commercial Services Team. What Will You Do? Assist the Legal Services Manager to deliver legal services and provide a range of advice and support to all teams across the Trust. Your primary focus and responsibility will be managing disrepair and housing management claims. Managing disrepair claims will include responding to claims in accordance with the pre-action protocol and negotiating settlements where applicable, as well as reporting monthly to the Trust's Senior Management Team. Managing housing management claims means those claims initiated by the Trust for possession and injunctions. You will also line manage up to three other members of the Legal and Commercial Team and assist the Legal Services Manager with any delegated tasks particularly relating to the management of the Trusts' commercial property portfolio, residential leasehold properties, Preserved Right to Buy and Right to Acquire applications and legal research and advice.,

    Degree or Equivalent
  • Qualified Solicitor or Chartered Legal Executive
  • Minimum 2 years experience of disrepair claims; and
  • Minimum 2 years experience of housing management
