Full Job Description

We are looking for an experienced Podiatrist to support the Milton Keynes Podiatry team to develop, deliver high-quality patient care and improve patient outcomes. As a Specialist Podiatrist you will work across Community and Hospital setting the assist with the management of all Podiatry patients - moderate to high-risk. This includes supporting the high risk case load from both hospital and community referrals as we manage increasingly complex patients. The post holder will also contribute to service development, research and ongoing review of service delivery. You will be supported throughout your employment with CPD opportunities, study days, regular supervision and friendly, supportive colleagues.,

  • To assess, diagnose and implement tailored treatment and specialist care plans (e.g. ulcer management) using a variety of appropriate treatment options for a range of patient groups
  • To apply and practice principles of wound management using wound classification systems (SINBAD).
  • To have knowledge of biomechanics and its role in wound care
  • To support the management of referrals
  • To ensure effective verbal and written communication
  • To take an active role in planning and delivering health promotion events
  • To maintain accurate record keeping
  • To continually review patient's progress and refer as necessary
  • To participate in departmental clinical governance initiatives and development and implantation of standard, procedural guidelines and protocols.
