Full Job Description

An exciting opportunity has arisen for an experienced physiotherapist to join the Neurosciences Physiotherapy Rotation on a full time basis (37.5 hrs per week). We are looking for a dynamic, forward thinking and enthusiastic physiotherapist with a specialist interest in Neurology to join the rotation and OUH Neuro Therapy Team. The rotation offers a broad range of experience both in acute, rehabilitation and community/outpatient settings where you will work alongside highly skilled and experienced clinicians at both the John Radcliffe Hospital and The Oxford Centre for Enablement (OCE)., You will be actively encouraged to participate in CPD, research and audit, and service development projects, as well as provide supervision and teaching to junior staff, students, and the wider MDT. You will be supported by an experience team of lead physiotherapists to refine your clinical and leadership skills in a variety of neurological rotations., To work across services within the rotation to provide high quality, safe and effective physiotherapy services to patients as part of a cohesive multi-professional team.

To work collaboratively with patients and their carers to effectively assess, goal plan and treat patients following admission to hospital and strive to maximise their independence and quality of life.

To supervise and teach recently qualified physiotherapists, support workers physiotherapy students.

To actively participate in quality improvement, clinical audit and research projects.

To take an active part in the extended hours, seven-day and weekend working as required by individual teams to maximise the access and delivery or rehabilitation and physiotherapy care.
