The role An opportunity has arisen for a talented individual with the appetite, ambition, and skillset to lead and grow Strutt & Parker's rural valuation provision in the North West, as part of a growing Rural Land Management and Consultancy team. The Chester Strutt & Parker team is a lead provider of rural services to an excellent range of prestigious and innovative clients and provides a great platform from which to significantly expand the valuation business. The successful candidate will undertake formal RICS Red Book Valuations of farms, estates, land, and residential properties (both urban and rural but generally upwards of £1m) for a variety of valuation purposes throughout the region which will include secured lending and tax valuations. You will take on an existing workload from the start, consolidating and strengthening the department by building relationships with existing and new clients/contacts and collaborating with colleagues, to build the profile of the team and

increase its market share further. Responsibilities Acting as principal valuer for the Chester office, undertaking a range of valuations for secured lending, tax and other purposes across a variety of predominantly rural properties, farms and Estates. Person specification

  • A competent, qualified rural surveyor (MRICS and CAAV), RICS Registered Valuer, with rural valuation experience. Tenacious self-starter with desire to be the leading valuer in the region. Highly literate, articulate, and analytical with ability to produce detailed written reports. Team leadership qualities with a willingness to work alongside and help others including an ability to mentor junior members of the team Highly literate, articulate, and analytical with ability to produce detailed written reports. Capable of building relationships with existing and new clients and generating new opportunities. Possess a confident and composed manner in order to be able to work under pressure Good time

Flexible approach to work and hours undertaken An understanding of confidentiality issues and the importance of the use of discretion Qualifications/Key Skills GCSE level education (or equivalent standard), which will include English and Mathematics qualifications. A Competent and experienced MRICS qualified rural surveyor with experience of delivering work across a range of projects.
