If so, we want to hear from you., Due to a promotion, we have an exciting opportunity to recruit a Team Manager at our Plymouth Foyer - supported accommodation for young people aged 16-25. We take a strength based approach, called Advantaged Thinking, in all the work we do; encouraging young people experiencing homelessness to aim high, dream big and fulfil their ambitions.

You will motivate colleagues to be their best; to meet targets and standards; to go the extra mile for young people. We are looking for someone who really cares about the Service, about young people, and who understands the impact of trauma, and how to respond to contextual harm. You will support our practitioners to be resilient and persistent; be solution-focussed; look past challenging behaviours; build positive relationships with young people and those that work with them, and to inspire young people to reach their potential. You will be responsible for the delivery and outcomes of a highly effective and impactful team; delivering high quality services for young people in need of supported accommodation and support services.

Every day is different; you could be delivering colleague supervision, reviewing a risk assessment, supporting a young person, contributing to a multi-agency meeting or supporting group activities as part of the learning programme.

We want you to be able to bring your own personality. Our young people come from a wide range of backgrounds and we try to mirror that in our team.

This role is being offered on a full time, permanent basis, working 37 hours per week and may include bank holidays. Bandwidth hours will be 8 am to 10 pm. You will predominantly work on scheme, Monday to Friday with a flexible approach to hours as team members will work shifts including nights and weekends.

The most important part of this role is to have pride in your work and have a positive attitude, a proactive approach and the confidence to support a diverse range of young people. You will be able to balance your passion and commitment with good organisational skills, and the ability to maintain professional boundaries., Level 4 qualification or equivalent in a relevant subject such as youth work, health and social care, coaching, mental health, housing, or ability to work towards.
- Safeguarding certification.
- Substantial experience in relationship and strengths-based practice, working collaboratively with children, young people and / or their families.
- Experience of working with a high level of social complexity and risk of harm.
- Experience of professional supervision and performance management.
- Experience of working jointly with key partners in the statutory, private, and voluntary sectors.
- Experience of staff recruitment and development.
- Experience of budget management issues. (D)
- Experience of contributing to policy and practitioner formulation, implementation, and review. (D)
- Excellent knowledge and understanding of relevant legislation and policy.
- Excellent knowledge and understanding of Safeguarding policies and procedures.
- Knowledge of Ofsted Supported Accommodation Regulations 2023. (D)

- Knowledge of financial regulations. (D)
- Knowledge and understanding of adolescence development. (D)
- Knowledge of housing management and housing related support. (D)
- Ability to make good quality judgements and sound decisions in situations of increasing complexity, risk, uncertainty and challenge, and be able to effectively explain and justify decisions.
- Demonstrable an ability to build sound, productive working relationships with colleagues, partners and other colleagues.
- Ability to maintain records and write high quality written reports which are suitable for a variety of professional settings.
- Ability to determine which interventions, knowledge and skills to deploy to effectively respond to different issues.
