Full Job Description

We are looking for highly motivated and experienced individual who will lead a range of initiatives that will improve and transform outcomes and experience for cancer patients across Surrey and Sussex. In addition, they will work with system leaders from across all sectors of health to drive forward evidenced based and clinically led improvements and embed best practice within pathways. You will develop an excellent relationship with clinical and administrative leadership and multi-disciplinary teams across the region to enable delivery of programmes of work that improve cancer services. The Alliance offices are based in Guildford, with travel when necessary across Surrey and Sussex. Flexible working and secondments will be considered.,

  • Work collaboratively across Surrey and Sussex and other referring regions to deliver safe, effective and timely access to cancer services
  • Drive improvements in delivery of the cancer services, focusing on improvements across all parts of the patient pathway
  • Improve cancer patients' experience through the delivery of excellence in clinical care, research, and education
  • Support the Clinical Leads in setting standards and providing quality assurance of cancer services across the Surrey and Sussex system
  • Lead the implementation of integrated services and pathways locally through collaborative work across the Surrey and Sussex system and promote a sense of collective responsibility across partners
  • To support this ambitious agenda, the Surrey and Sussex Cancer Alliance, (covering 3.2 million people), has successfully secured significant national transformation funding with which to review, redesign and improve clinical services with a focus on earlier cancer stage diagnosis, shorter waiting times and continuous improvements in holistic and equitable patient care.
  • As a Programme Manager, the post holder will work as part of a dynamic team in delivering an effective service supporting managers and staff across the Surrey and Sussex region
