Full Job Description

Creative Support is looking for an enthusiastic and experienced Team Leader with a strong understanding of learning disabilities, mental health, and autism. You will join a collaborative and knowledgeable team, working closely with the Senior Service Manager to manage existing services and develop new outreach services across Worcestershire. Your role will involve overseeing the day-to-day management of services, supporting individuals in maintaining their tenancies, and assisting in the growth of new outreach services.

Our supported living services are vibrant and supportive environments where service users engage in various activities both at home and within the community. Our outreach services aim to promote confidence, emotional wellbeing, and independent living skills among independent and outgoing individuals.

As a Team Leader, your responsibilities will include coordinating the delivery of care to a defined group of service users, ensuring their needs, choices, and preferences are met. This includes administering medication, providing general emotional support, and assisting with daily living. You will supervise, coach, manage the performance of staff, volunteers, and students, and ensure safeguarding measures are in place to protect vulnerable adults. Promoting excellent customer care to service users, their families, and other agencies is also crucial. Additionally, you will be involved in referrals and assessments for new packages within the area and support the growth of outreach services within Worcestershire.

You will benefit from comprehensive and outstanding training through our training academy and receive guidance from supportive and experienced managers. Essential skills for this role include strong written and verbal communication, excellent organizational abilities, and the capacity to prioritize and manage a busy workload. Flexibility to meet the needs of the service and a willingness to follow instructions and accept supervision are also required., Full training is provided, as is the opportunity to work towards QCF Diploma in Health and Social Care.
