Team Leader - Children's Community Complex Care Team

the Long Term Ventilation Team which provides packages of care in the home for children who require ventilation to assist their breathing., As a band 6 team leader working within the team you would work across the 3 teams at Swanbourne Gardens- our unique 4 bedded respite unit. Alongside this you may be required to assess, plan, implement and evaluate patient care in the child and families own home or in school / nursery. You would be at the forefront of teaching and assessing the competencies required for the staff to deliver day to day care for the children with complex health needs, this will include interventions such as care and management of tracheostomies, gastrostomies and ventilation support. You would be expected to provide supervision and appraisals for the junior staff and ensure all mandatory training is up to date. As a band 6 we would expect you to role model the trusts value and behaviour framework when working within the team.
