Full Job Description

Worcestershire County Council is committed to supporting its residents to live healthy and independent lives in their community. Our approach is to offer short-term intensive support to enable individuals to learn how to live their lives as independently as they can and support them to regain independence during the period of support. We focus on what people can do and build on these skills. We will make sure people receive the right support at the right time to help them live independently at home for as long as possible. This is part of a broader approach to ensure Worcestershire residents are healthier, live longer, have better quality of life and remain independent for as long as possible. We are looking to recruit to the position of a permanent Team Supervisor, you must be committed to:

  • Provide Supervisory and leadership support to a team of 24 Assistants
  • To undertake and maintain Quality Assurance protocols to improve quality and compliance
  • Provide out of hours cover as part of a rota during hours of service delivery, In return you will be supported in your role by your line manager through one to one meetings and performance reviews, team meetings and other corporate wellbeing tools. You will be encouraged and supported to complete any formal accredited qualifications, and you will have a personal development plan to support you in developing towards any personal career aspirations. You will also receive 5 weeks annual leave in addition to Bank Holidays, rising to 6 weeks after 5 years' service, and access to the Local Government Pension Scheme.

    As the ideal candidate you must have a level 3 Diploma in Health and Social Care or considerable experience of supervising staff and working in a social care setting. It is also equally important that you can demonstrate a can-do attitude, and that you are proactive, compassionate and empathetic., While you are working hard, doing your best for the people of Worcestershire, we will do our best to provide an environment that supports and inspires you.
