Full Job Description

An new opportunity has become available for an experienced and motivated Allied Health Professional (AHP) to lead and manage the Wigan Therapy Suite based at Atherleigh Park Hospital in Leigh.
The Therapy Suite team currently consists of:
+ Physiotherapists
+ Psychologists and Psychology Assistants
+ Occupational Therapists and Occupational Therapy Assistants
+ Activity Co-ordinators
The post involves supporting the Therapy Suite team to work alongside the multi-disciplinary teams across our adult inpatient services at Atherleigh Park Hospital in Leigh to provide client-centred, evidence-based interventions that promote wellbeing and recovery.
We are looking for someone who is passionate about patient care and can lead the service clinically and operationally to deliver a safe, effective, and high quality service to service users with mental health needs.
The successful candidate will be responsible for supporting the management and leadership of the staff team, and be responsible for supporting staff wellbeing and development, alongside day to day managerial responsibilities.
The position is for 37.5 hours per week and is a permanent position. The working hours are Monday to Friday 09:00 - 17:00. Flexible working can be considered and we encourage applicants who require flexible working to apply.
Participate in the service Bronze on call and Bronze on Site rota is required., · Coordination of day to day adult inpatient Therapy Suite service delivery to ensure effective consistent and equitable access to services.
· The post holder will lead on supporting staff wellbeing and staff development by providing line management supervision and ensuring that all staff have access to appropriate clinical supervision.
· The post holder will lead on supporting staff to access an appraisal conversation at least every 12 months to support with personal and professional development.
· To contribute to the development and evaluation of the Therapy Suite service within the care group and take a lead in aspects of service development.
· To work with the Allied Health Professional Lead and Operational Team to support the smooth running and development of the Therapy Suite.
· To provide specialist input into the planning, development and evaluation of clinical services, holding responsibility for defined projects.
· The post holder will contribute to the planning, development, provision and evaluation of the Therapy Suite service within the Wigan inpatient Division as well as taking a lead in aspects of audit, standard setting, research and development.
