Full Job Description

The People Advisor and Compliance Team Leader Role is responsible for managing the team that is advising on people-related matters while ensuring compliance with employment and immigration law.

This role plays a critical part in guiding the HR team on complex people related matters, managing right to work and visa and immigration processes. The ideal candidate will have strong experience in HR advisory functions, right to work compliance, managing sponsorships and compliance monitoring.

What you'll be doing as a People advisor and Compliance Team Leader

+ Lead and manage the People Advisors, ensuring they deliver customer-focused responses that encourage self-service
+ Ensure full compliance with SODA approvals, data protection legislation, and security clearance requirements for relevant personnel
+ Stay updated on immigration law changes and ensure the People Services Team and managers receives necessary training
+ Oversee the handling of complaints and fast-track requests, prioritising them alongside other workload demands to meet service level targets
+ Effective liaison with internal and external stakeholders in supporting cases
+ Manage the responsibilities of the 'Key Contact,' maintaining accurate details in the Sponsorship Management System for both the license and sponsored workers

+ Extensive HR Experience in an Advisory capacity
+ Comprehensive knowledge and experience in overseeing the visa application and skilled worker processes for employees
+ Able to develop team relationships and ways of working together to enable performance
+ Proficient in using the Sponsorship Management System
+ Experience using/exploring data using business intelligence tools and using data responsibly

Desirable

+ Professional qualification or certification in HR such as Qualification in Foundations of UK Immigration Law - OISC - Level 1
+ Experience of using SAP HR
+ Experience of using ServiceNow

+ Competitive salary up to £40,000 per annum depending on experience
