Full Job Description
As Programme Director, you will play a pivotal role in ensuring LGPS Central is well-positioned to meet regulatory changes and the evolving needs of our partner funds. Reporting to the Executive Committee (ExCo) and working closely with the Strategic Delivery Group, you will be responsible for:
- Programme Leadership - Overseeing the design, governance, and successful execution of our pensions reform programme.
- Regulatory Compliance - Ensuring alignment with government objectives and industry reforms, positioning LGPS Central as a leader in the sector.
- Strategic Initiatives - Balancing operational performance with high governance standards while driving long-term improvements for LGPS Central and our stakeholders.
We are looking for a visionary leader with: - Proven experience in programme leadership within pensions, financial services, or a regulated environment.
- A strong understanding of LGPS, pensions reform, and government policy.
- Exceptional stakeholder management skills, with the ability to influence at senior levels.
- A track record of delivering complex, high-profile change programmes. Key Requirements
- Proven track record in leading complex, large-scale transformation programmes within financial services, asset management, or pensions.
- Knowledge of UK pensions, particularly LGPS, and upcoming regulatory changes is beneficical
- Leadership skills with the ability to drive change, influence stakeholders, and foster collaboration.
- Experience in risk management, compliance, and governance within a regulated environment.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with a data-driven approach to decision-making.
- Excellent stakeholder management, communication, and negotiation skills.
- Experience in embedding digital and technology-driven solutions into programme delivery would be beneficial.
- Commercial acumen and a strategic mindset, with the ability to align programmes with wider business goals., Relevant degree.
- Post Graduate qualification in a related subject an advantage.
- Has or can meet all the requirements of being an FCA approved person
LGPS Central (LGPSC) Ltd is the FCA-regulated asset manager for eight local authority pension funds across the Midlands. LGPSC is jointly owned on an equal shares basis by those Partner Fund, and it is responsible for managing almost £30bn of their assets.
