Full Job Description
The University of Manchester is seeking a highly motivated and experienced Project Manager to join our Division of Evolution, Infection & Genomics. This role involves managing research projects related to rare conditions, funded by the Medical Research Council (MRC) Rare Disease Platform Nodes and the NIHR Manchester Biomedical Research Centre (BRC). The successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring the smooth management of research programmes, meeting deliverables and milestones on time and within budget. This position offers an exciting opportunity to work in a multi-disciplinary research environment, collaborating with various departments and external partners to advance our understanding and treatment of rare conditions.
We are looking for an enthusiastic individual with excellent interpersonal, communication, IT, and organisational skills. They should be able to work independently, manage multiple projects simultaneously, and possess strong financial administration skills. Experience in developing relationships with project partners, industry, and funding bodies is essential.
