Full Job Description

We are looking for a coach to join our squad where we deliver our interventions in a variety of different settings, both during the school timetable and after school (until 7pm 3 evenings per week). You will be working with some of the hardest to reach young people who are most at risk of exclusion. You will help to deliver sports-based sessions combined with employability workshops to enable young people to be in a better position to enter sustained education, employment or training (EET) when they leave school. You do not need to be a rugby fanatic for this role, but you do need to be passionate about social mobility of the excluded. The role involves:

  • Intervention Delivery - Develop and deliver session plans in line with our curriculum.
  • Reporting & Compliance - Collect impact data from our young people.
  • Development - Responsible for relationship management within your region.
  • Team - Contribute to project groups and internal meetings, ensuring you keep in good contact with the wider team.

    Previous experience delivering youth work, sport sessions or supporting young people in an educational setting.
  • Level 1 sports coaching qualification or equivalent experience in youth work/mentoring/education (or working towards).
  • Strong organisational skills and excellent time keeping.
  • Confident and effective communicator who can resolve conflict.
  • A passion to help change young people's lives using sport as a tool.
  • Being approachable, positive, empathetic and patient.
  • IT literate and ability to use Microsoft Office Applications.
  • Valid UK driving licence or access to transport to enable travel within the region
