Robert Half is supporting a Global Consulting Firm to recruit an Active Directory (AD) Engineer for a project backfill position, focusing on maintaining and enhancing the organisation's AD environment, including troubleshooting, supporting, and implementing directory services across multi-domain and multi-site AD forests. This role requires expertise in Directory Services and Azure AD, with a focus on ensuring seamless AD operations, supporting security tools, and maintaining strong results orientation aligned with organisational priorities. Contract Assignment Details: Location: London (Hybrid Working - 1-2 days per week on-site) Duration: Initial 6 Months contract Day Rate: Up to £500-550 p/day via FCSA-accredited umbrella company, subject to relevant AD expertise Start Date: Immediate start with a 2-3 week lead time for onboarding and technology setup Experience Required: Proven experience with multi-domain and multi-site Active Directory (AD) environments, including supporting,
designing, and troubleshooting. Familiarity with Azure AD and AD Connect, including account lockout troubleshooting and directory synchronisation. Strong technical expertise in Directory Services, Windows Server AD, DNS, WINS, DHCP, and ADFS. Understanding of core protocols (e.g., NTLM, Kerberos) and privileged access management. Experience with non-English directory environments (e.g., Chinese, Japanese). Skilled in PowerShell and automation for efficient directory operations. Excellent communication and teamwork skills, with a results-oriented approach to support organisational goals. Desirable: GP management for Office 365, Windows 10, MCSE qualification, experience with audit and compliance, and knowledge of Microsoft Advanced Threat Analytics. Key Responsibilities: Technical Management: Design, maintain, and troubleshoot multi-domain AD forests, ensuring efficient directory synchronisation and minimal downtime. Vendor Coordination: Collaborate with external vendors to ensure directory
solutions meet security and operational standards. Access Control and Security: Implement and manage access control, privileged access, and policies to maintain a secure and compliant AD environment. System Support: Provide out-of-hours support for implementations as required, with a focus on minimising business impact. Stakeholder Engagement: Work with internal teams to provide updates on AD operations and resolve any issues with directory services. Project Coordination: Lead efforts in PoC and testing for new AD-related technologies, working with cybersecurity and IT teams.
