Full Job Description

This administrative post offers a great opportunity to work within a dedicated, team. The post holder will act as the first point of contact for patients and visitors, dealing with their queries as appropriate. You will need good verbal communication skills and be able to demonstrate a friendly, calm and assertive manner both in person and on the telephone. You will maintain our electronic database to register patients and send out appointments; liaise with patients, GP's, Transport, interpreters/advocates and other professionals, as required. Excellent IT skills are essential as you will be required to work on our patient management system, update spreadsheets for monthly reporting and communicate effectively when receiving and making appointments by email., + To provide administrative and reception support for the Audiology Service.
+ To work with the audiology team and act as the 'welcome point' in the department, dealing with enquiries in person and by telephone from patients and other professionals.
+ To take responsibility for the Audiological patient management system, maintaining and updating confidential information and ensuring appointment and patient pathways are managed appropriately.
