ESBO (European Service Business Organisation) is responsible for identifying, evaluating and determining new opportunities within the digital media and advertising industry with the goal of creating scalable services and businesses on top of the global footprint of European Samsung Smart TVs. The EU advertising team is working to add new value for partners, advertisers, and agencies through its unique insights into TV viewership in the shifting media landscape! We are looking for a confident individual with strong SQL, data-modelling, dashboarding skills, who understands the importance of communication, solutions and delivery. You should have a passion for solving problems, identifying solutions, leading projects, and working in cross-functional teams. In this role you will need to be skilled at understanding stakeholder needs, and then working with vast datasets to create simple and intuitive dashboards that translate complex problems into meaningful insights. You must develop and maintain excellent working relationships with key customers within the Samsung Ads business. CTV and/or digital insights-based advertising experience is preferred. This role will report directly to the ESBO Senior Analytics Manager and is based in London. Role and Responsibilities Your key responsibilities

  • Build and maintain dashboards and their data pipelines to enable the business to self-serve data drive insights
  • Support integration and modelling of new data sources
  • Understand and optimise our existing queries and data pipelines where possible.
  • Deliver custom analytics support for pan-European clients across the ESBO regions
  • Translate business requirements into a meaningful set of SQL queries for Ad Hoc analysis and new reporting solutions
  • Innovation of new products - Collaborate with product teams to identify and prototype new data solutions, as well as improvements to our current offering
  • R our internal data and analytics solutions. Work with the relevant business to understand the requirements. Understand, create and maintain data pipelines, orchestration and monitoring across large data sets
  • Develop and maintain stakeholder relationships across A&I, senior leadership, Marketing, Product Marketing, P&E, and 3rd party vendors
  • Explore data to identify trends and anomalies, develop new analytical capabilities/solutions, and find new monetization opportunities
  • Collaborate to refine methodology and calculations
  • What we need for this role To be successful, you will possess the following skills and attributes: You will provide technical leadership to the wider A&I team specially in area of BI tools, guiding team members as you work together to deliver actionable insights and support the growth of the business. You are organised, detailed oriented, flexible and possess ability to establish priorities with minimal guidance in a fast paced environment by being a proactive, analytical problem solver and strategist, who is able to draw conclusions- not just report the data.     Demonstrable and significant experience using SQL full time
  • Experience in a role where dash-boarding capability was the primary output
  • Strong stakeholder management skills with extensive experience of working with senior colleagues
  • Be able to explain deeply complex problems in simplified terms that are instantly understandable
  • Experienced in setting up automated data pipelines
  • Experience working with large relational databases & cloud computing
  • Demonstrated expertise in connecting various sources of data (across digital media channels or platforms) to create a comprehensive view of integrated campaign performance
  • Experience with statistical analysis/tools
  • Familiarity with media, digital/mobile/TV measurement
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Experience with ad tech and digital media ops
  • A high degree of analytical expertise is crucial, along with the ability to communicate test results in basic terms for consumption of non-technical colleagues
  • Willing to work collaboratively with non-technical teams and learn new concepts
  • A degree or equivalent experience in computer science/engineering or quantitative field (Economics, Statistics, Engineering, Physics, Mathematics).

  • Experience working with the following tools would be strong advantageous: Python, Looker, Snowflake, Jira, Confluence, GitHub (or other agile development tools)
  • Familiarity with Digital Marketing

  • Previous experience in an agency or company leading media analytics

  • A love for data and statistics, for example exploring data for fun, finding patterns, creating norms for insights and measurement results. You are curious and take initiatives on finding new insights, new angles and looking at the data, deep diving into the meanings of analysis results.
  • Help to develop the dashboarding capacities for all types of data, mainly Samsung's 1st party viewership data.
  • You have a passion to test and learn in a fast paced environment, your curiosity is outstanding. You love communicating your new findings to the Analytics & Insights team, as well as to ESBO stakeholders.
  • Help build a data-informed culture - providing decisions makers with the information they need when they need it and in a way they can trust and act on.
