Full Job Description
There is an exciting opportunity to join us in a role that is vital to our success. We are looking for an Assurance Analysis Specialist to join our East Coast Safety team. You will be supporting the team with your data analysis skills so key trends and risks can be identified and provide key safety data to out managers which will help them manage safety risks.
As an Assurance Analysis Specialist, you will be supporting the East Coast Safety team as well as working with managers across the Route to make sure they have access to assurance systems and data.
Making data and reporting simpler and better you will be contributing to the Routes success.
Its key that you have the following:
· Advance excel/Power BI skills to be able to create and update data sets and dashboards., Role and Responsibilities may include but are not limited to:
1. Develop effective plans for the development, delivery and improvement of assurance activities/processes. Deliver a co-ordinated assurance approach for all HSEA activities utilising agreed resources.
2. Undertake management reviews and produce the final reports in consultation with the appropriate parties.
3. Review and evaluate the full ranges of reports and emerging data to assess the performance of the assigned assurance processes.
4. Produce specific reviews/lessons learnt and reports from emerging data and investigation findings drawing out meaningful conclusions regarding the safety management systems and risk control measures.
5. Carry out routine analysis of key safety information systems and databases to identify those issues requiring immediate attention and to determine the efficiency of the resolution deficiencies.
6. In conjunction with Assurance teams develop and implement the supplier assurance regime. Integrate the Link-up/Proof arrangements into the assurance portfolio.
7. Lead the development of assurance within the line.
· Experience of providing data analysis and insight
· Ability to engage, communicate with and support frontline managers in the use of technology and mobile apps
· Attention to detail to be able to schedule assurance activities and run detailed reports.
· Any previous experience with railway data or working in a health and safety team would be an advantage but not essential, · Recognised process improvement skills/expertise
· Good understanding of risk assessment/loss control tools and techniques
· Excellent report writing and presentation skills.
· Good interpersonal skills
· Good information management skills
· Comprehensive knowledge of GRIP
· Good knowledge of railway construction

Salary of £35,582 - £40,029 (Band 4.B) depending on skills, qualifications and experience
