This exciting developmental role sits within the Treasury Management team, responsible for managing the Insolvency Service's internal and external cash forecasting and treasury management duties.

The Insolvency Service is a great place to work, learn and grow your career!, The role will report to the Head of Treasury Management within the Finance, Commercial, Sustainability and Property directorate and will work closely with other functional areas within Finance, the wider Agency and cross Government.
This is an exciting role within the Insolvency Service which will require you to build a network of contacts to ensure the monthly cash forecasts for each of the Agency's bank accounts represent a true reflection of the likely cash position.
The Treasury Management officer is responsible for all internal and external cash forecasting and treasury management duties.
The FCSP directorate has a healthy learning and development culture, and we are committed to supporting our staff develop the skills and experience to help progress their careers., As B2 Treasury Management Officer, you will be responsible for:
+ Daily cash and liquidity management ensuring sufficient cash flow to meet operational needs.
+ Conduct regular reconciliations of bank accounts to ensure accuracy and timely reporting used to invoice funding partners.
+ The completion and submission of the Agency monthly and annual cash forecasting to DBT and HMT.
+ The analysis of outturn and historic data to look for patterns and trends.
+ Working closely with colleagues across the Agency to resolve issues that may affect the forecast, cash flow and liquidity requirements.
+ Reviewing the current cash forecasting process with a view to making improvements.
+ Daily review of the Agency’s bank account balances and transactions.
+ Updating of monthly reporting performance actuals for FCSP SLT Performance & Risk Leadership Forum.
+ Providing advice and subject matter expertise to the wider Agency on matters of Treasury Management.
+ Undertake other duties in support of the wider Finance community as required., Your personal statement should be no more than 500 words and should explain how you consider your personal skills, qualities and experience provide evidence of your suitability for the role, with particular reference to the essential criteria and our values within the person specification.

The Insolvency Service is currently delivering an exciting five-year transformation project that started in April 2022 which will define our future direction supporting a gradual migration to a Regional Centre model combined with smarter ways of working. As part of this, transforming our estate will align us with the government modernisation programmes making The Insolvency Service a great place to work.
We are letting you know about our future plans because if you are joining the Insolvency Service and are recruited into an office over the next five years that is not one of the Regional Centres, you will be expected to move to one of the Regional Centres in the future. This move would not attract financial assistance.
The 11 Regional Centres are : Birmingham, Cardiff, Croydon, Edinburgh, Exeter, Ipswich, Leeds, Manchester, Newcastle, Nottingham and Stratford.
Hybrid Working
Insolvency Service operates a hybrid working policy subject to business need, giving people the flexibility to choose when and where they work and collaborate with others.
Individuals are expected to work from one of the office locations stated in the advert to connect with their colleagues, as required by their role and business team needs. There is flexibility to split the working week, spending a minimum of 60% in the workplace, which includes the office, site visits, court etc.

+ Have experience in the last 12 months in an accounting role
+ Be able to prioritise demands and take ownership of workplans seeing tasks through to successful completion on time.

You will be required to attend the office at one of the locations listed for 60% of your working time and attend other locations when required as part of the 60% attendance.
Essential Criteria
You will be expected to demonstrate how your experience, knowledge and skills meet the essential/desirable criteria and that you possess the attributes detailed in the person specification.
This role is very much seen as training role with scope for future advancement across the various Finance teams.
Experience within an accounting role within the last 12 months.
Minimum of either AAT Level 4, CIMA Certificate in Business Accounting (CIMA Cert BA) or equivalent CCAB qualification with ongoing membership.
Successful candidates will be committed to completing a full CCAB or CIMA qualification including Practical assessment requirements within 3-4 years, timeframe depends on current qualifications.
This will be a contractual obligation with full funding provided
