Full Job Description

Methods is seeking a proactive, results driven individual to join our Bid Team. This role will be instrumental in increasing our bidding capacity and supporting business growth. Key tasks:

  • Contributing to bid planning and storyboard sessions with bid team members and key stakeholders
  • Reviewing and editing proposal responses from a variety of stakeholders, typically involving contributions from sales, marketing, technical / product teams, partners, finance, commercial, legal and delivery
  • Acting as a technical reviewer by quality assuring bid responses against client specifications, technical requirements and evaluation criteria
  • Contributing to the production of client facing service offerings
  • Ensuring all new/updated proposal content is made available for re-use
  • Delivering completed written proposal responses against agreed tender deadlines. This could include identifying and reworking existing content or researching and re-drafting existing content.

    Proven skills in researching, writing and editing content within a complex business environment
  • Experience in working with a broad range of stakeholders, with an ability to communicate and influence at all levels
  • Understanding of cloud-based services and technologies
  • Understanding of business processes and drivers (e.g. service offerings, service design, delivery management, target operating models, business transformation, resource models, business analysis and user centred design)
  • Strong time management and prioritisation skills, with the ability to work on several responses at any one time
  • Excellent attention to detail
  • MS Office skills
  • Desirable skills and experience
  • Understanding of software development technologies and approaches
  • Understanding of cyber security technologies and standards
  • Understanding of Agile delivery, and the Agile lifecycle
  • Knowledge of DevOps practices and technologies
  • Understanding of the GDS service standards
  • Experience of contributing to a bid library
  • Knowledge of public sector frameworks
  • This role will require you to have or be willing to go through Security Clearance. As part of the onboarding process candidates will be asked to complete a Baseline Personnel Security Standard; details of the evidence required to apply may be found on the government website Gov.UK. If you are unable to meet this and any associated criteria, then your employment may be delayed, or rejected . Details of this will be discussed with you at interview.
