Full Job Description

As a Gentrack Business Analyst (UK Energy), you will foster collaboration between our customers and the Gentrack Product team. You will take ownership of tracking of all the UK gas and electricity industry changes and assessment of their impact on Gentrack's core products and the wider business. You will documents the changes and present them to internal stakeholders and customers, The role will support and actively collaborate with Product, customer success and Engineering Delivery Teams. The role requires an industry subject matter expert who can articulate impact of upcoming industry changes on Gentrack's products and business as well as proactively identify opportunities for product development through customer collaboration. You will have a commercial mindset, constantly looking for opportunities to deliver additional value to our customers. As the role will at times be customer facing so travel will be required.   • The Specifics
  • Deliver and own an industry change horizon tracker, providing a view of large industry programmes and routine industry change.
  • Explore the detail of complex changes and translate them into digestible and easy to understand material for technical and non-technical teams
  • Facilitate workshops with customers and internal stakeholders to Identify candidates for the product roadmap which will benefit customers and generate revenue.
  • Prepare briefing and overview materials for internal stakeholders and customers on the impacts and commercial opportunities of industry changes, new features and product improvements
  • Analyse and define business requirements, user stories and acceptance criteria
  • Analyse, map and document business processes
  • Facilitate and attend meetings such as daily stand ups, sprint planning and retrospectives
  • Work with technical teams to develop effective solutions
  • Provide software training and testing services as required
  • Provide on-site support services to customers as required

    Demonstrable knowledge and experience of the UK gas and electricity industries ideally gained whilst working with a supplier, consultancy, or government body Ability to consume large volumes of information and documentation.
  • Experience of working in software development environment or demonstrable interest in technology
  • Commercial acumen and understanding of key drivers behind a B2B Software business.
  • Experience as a Business Analyst / Product Owner / Scrum Master
  • Experience in working in Agile (preferably Scrum) environments.
  • Experience in working in a Professional Services / Consultancy environment
  • Strong analytical skills and understanding of business processes
  • Proven ability to understand and communicate technical and business concepts
  • Substantial personal responsibility and autonomy
  • Exceptional communication skills, and being a good presenter
