Full Job Description

This role will report to the Business Architect Lead and will be responsible for implementing the business architectural changes to enhance efficiency and productivity. The business architect analyst will collaborate with product and technology to help translate the business strategy to necessary business outcomes and technical deliverables.

  • Develop, document, and maintain the Visa Direct product taxonomy and catalogue.
  • Design, document and maintain Visa Direct capability maps.
  • Design and conduct workshops to gather requirements and identify gaps in existing business capabilities.
  • Establish strong and sustainable relationships with product and business stakeholders to identify change opportunities and recommend transformation with clear future state documentation, focusing on operating efficiency or to improve overall customer / user satisfaction.
  • Collaborate with other business and technical teams to ensure integration of Business Architecture plans with existing architectures.
  • Participate in the evaluation of solution options and develop recommendations based on business requirements and objectives.
  • Analyse business capabilities and services offered to customers to identify overlaps and synergies.
  • Collecting data and insights to help assess how the proposed business solutions will fit into Visa Direct overall business architecture and understand/mitigate the impact on the business.
  • Leveraging data for analysis and solve risks and issues through collaborative partnerships with business stakeholders and functional teams.
  • Formulating actionable plans to address business challenges and opportunities.
  • Develop proposals to remove identified inefficiencies, in order to streamline processes and improve customer satisfaction.
  • Collaborate with different teams to implement the proposed changes effectively.
  • Monitor and measure the impact of changes on business operations for continual improvement.
  • Work closely with stakeholders to ensure understanding and support for change proposals.
  • Advise on how changes in business capabilities and services will impact overall business strategy.
  • Lead discussions and workshops to facilitate understanding and acceptance of proposed changes.
  • Help transition from planning and designing to implementation confirming the scope, finalizing and documenting the architectural framework, and verifying the size, priority, and delivery timelines.
  • Once transition has been completed, the business architecture analyst will hand over to the product teams for delivery and ensure all documentation and information has been Promote and facilitate the use of common capability, processes and practices across the organisation.
  • Keep up to date with the latest Business Architecture trends and emerging technologies.
  • This is a hybrid position. Hybrid employees can alternate time between both remote and office. Employees in hybrid roles are expected to work from the office 2-3 set days a week (determined by leadership/site), with a general guidepost of being in the office 50% or more of the time based on business needs.

  • Experience such as product management, or business analyst.
  • Ability to assess, plan, design, build and recommend improvements.
  • Able to lead cross functional discussions and provide direction on approach to others.
  • Concrete experience developing and maintaining relationships with stakeholders, facilitating communication and collaboration.
  • Problem solving mindset to solution direction and alternative approaches.
  • The ability to work with ambiguity, frequent change, or unpredictability.
  • Demonstrable experience being able to abstract and analyse business information to create a conceptual view of processes and functions.
  • To be able to identify overlaps and synergies in business processes, aiming at increased efficiency.
  • Proven ability to leverage abstract thinking abilities to generate innovative ideas and solutions.
  • To be able to bridge the gap between various stakeholder perspectives and business functions by developing clear, high-level, and actionable solutions.
  • Previous experience translating complex business concepts and operations into clear and succinct reports.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Financial services experience (particularly payments).
  • Broad and demonstrable experience of working with a diverse set of stakeholders, applying technology capability for business benefit.
  • Ability to leverage experience in analysing relevant data and assessing implications of alternatives, identifying decision options and points, predicting their potential impact.
  • Good blend of business and technical savviness.
