Full Job Description

The Strategic Sectors Division is part of the Small and Medium Enterprises and Trade Finance (SME) Directorate of the Business Group and has three broad areas of responsibility:
+ underwriting buyer finance for export contracts under £30m
+ underwriting business of any size in support of exports in priority sectors for UKEF
+ providing local contact points for exporters and businesses with export potential across the UK through the network of regional representatives called Export Finance Managers (EFMs)., UKEF is committed to being a customer-centric organisation, making it easier for customers to deal with us, offering improved response times, quicker decision-making and improved case-processing., We would expect successful candidates to operate in a flexible, agile way to deliver a high-quality service to its customers and stakeholders in line with the Department's Operational Plan and UKEF's mission to advance prosperity by ensuring no viable UK export fails for lack of finance and insurance, doing that sustainably and at no net cost to the taxpayer.
Main Activities
+ Take responsibility for varied administrative tasks relating to RHEFM & EFM related activities including events, business development activities and marketing campaigns.
+ Conduct Low level analysis to support lead generation marketing activities required by SSD.
+ Arrange travel and accommodation for team members when requested.
+ Become first point of contact on booking meeting rooms whilst taking into consideration internal and external catering requirements.
+ Be responsible for administrative tasks relating to expenditure of marketing budget.
+ Maintain and monitor spreadsheet of Events.
+ Provide support to Export Finance Managers in respect of Lead Generation arising from campaigns, events, and supplier fairs and ensure required details are logged on the relevant databases.
+ Co-ordinate across team activities

Experience

Desirable, + Legal, business or finance related qualifications.
+ Diploma in International Trade via the Institute of Export.
Knowledge
+ A working level understanding of the political, commercial, legal and risk environment that UKEF operates in and, the wider Whitehall and overseas Civil Service.
+ A working level technical knowledge of international financing mechanisms (e.g. international loan agreements) and UKEF products.
+ User level knowledge of a customer relationship management (CRM) software and applications focused on sales, customer service, marketing automation, e-commerce, analytics, artificial intelligence, and application development.
+ Commercial, banking, financial institution experience.
