What you'll be doing You will work with a respective approach and provide consistent and high-quality vetting support in accordance with the Office for Nuclear Regulation (ONR), Cabinet Office, and EDF Energy standards. Day to day, you will:

  • Provide an efficient and effective Baseline Personnel Security Standard (BPSS) and vetting service to the business meeting stipulated delivery targets.
  • Provide advice to individuals seeking help with inputting personnel security data into company HR programmes.
  • Record and monitor BPSS and vetting clearances that require management support by Site Heads of Security and line managers.
  • Ensure that company policy is understood and being met across the business.
  • Participate in assisting visits and auditing own and supplier sites to deliver this commitment.
  • Maintain a contact list of accredited trainers in fraudulent document recognition and facilitate and maintain the online training package.
  • Undertake vetting-related assurance tasks as part of the Nuclear Personnel Security Assurance Programme.
  • Take ownership and help development of the vetting database, hosted in a Microsoft SharePoint environment.

    Do you have excellent customer service skills and the ability to follow process and procedures?, We are looking for a self-motivated individual, preferably with experience of Personnel Security within a regulated environment. You should be comfortable and familiar with computer-based process and able to follow procedures with an inquiring mind and strong decision-making skills.
  • Business acumen and excellent customer service skills are a must as you will be a frequent first point of contact for current and future EDF Energy employees and contractors. You will be adept at applying procedural knowledge and dealing with sensitive personal information securely and in a personable and professional manner. It would be beneficial if you also have:
  • Some specific experience of working in the Personnel Security domain and experience with delivering training.
  • IT competence in Outlook and Microsoft Office Package, and in particular in report writing, preparing presentations, spreadsheet, and database management.
  • Some grounding in the work delivered by a security team.
  • Experience in the use of The Microsoft SharePoint platform.
  • Experience in project delivery.

    We can offer a competitive salary from £30,650 - £37,169, and you'll be appointed based on the parameters outlined in the Nuclear Generation Company Agreement as well as your existing salary, competence, experience and qualifications.
