Full Job Description

The Register Office is looking to expand its pool of casual deputy registrars. Applicants can apply either for weddings only or for weddings plus office duties which include the registration of births, deaths, production of certificates and covering reception., As part of a pool of casual registrars the number of hours allocated varies according to demand. Wedding registrars are required predominantly at weekends including bank holidays but some weekday weddings are available. Office based registrars for other duties are required Monday to Friday.

Previous experience is not essential as training will be given. Applicants will need experience of working with the public in a frontline customer role and be confident in public speaking.

Applicants for the office duties will also need an ability understand and apply rules and procedures, take payments from customers, maintain accurate records and have good organisational skills, demonstrate good IT skills including being able to confidently use MS Office including Teams, Outlook, Word and Excel as well as being confident in using other bespoke systems for making appointments, taking payments and recording registrations., Disability Confident
