Full Job Description

Digital Analysts are key roles in the council's newly integrated Customer Services, Digital & Data service. The team maintains and develops business critical systems to meet current and future needs of local people, businesses and council staff. This includes technology which serves some of our most vulnerable residents. Our mission is to deliver a high quality user experience across all ICT services, including providing fit for purpose systems and guidance, and high standards of accessibility, availability, usefulness and customer service.,

  • Supporting users to get full value from our digital tools, helping them find the simplest and most secure way of achieving their goals
  • Supporting, maintaining and developing business critical applications and systems
  • Working as part of a multi-disciplinary product team to support, maintain and develop applications and systems that enable people to access Parking & Markets, Planning and Building Control, and Environmental Services functions online., Developing and maintaining our business critical applications whilst implementing user-centric improvements
  • Supporting services to deliver their business plans
  • Driving process and system improvements to deliver efficiencies within the council
  • Adopting pioneering and innovative technologies.

    Expertise in systems support or administration, maintaining or developing systems - especially large scale applications
  • Experience of IT Service Management (ITSM) - service management, problem management, user support
  • Experience of 3rd party vendor management - liaising with suppliers to manage applications that are externally hosted
  • Experience of testing techniques (UAT scripting) - to plan and execute system functionality tests
  • Working in an Agile way, applying an agile mindset to all aspects of your work
  • Excellent communication skills - you will be supporting council staff as well as liaising with senior stakeholders/ system owners and external suppliers
  • Organised - your team may be responsible for multiple applications serving our residents' needs or internal business requirements
  • Prioritisation skills - you will be supporting thousands of internal users and prioritising needs
  • Sincerity and integrity - you can demonstrate that you work with honesty, trust and a 'one' organisation approach.

  • Where we work We offer hybrid working. You will be expected to come into our offices in the Hackney Service Centre to work with your team for a minimum of two days a month, however many teams come in more frequently to meet business requirements. Like many organisations, our hybrid arrangements are evolving and you may be expected to work from the office more frequently in future.
