Full Job Description

An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Finance Manager to join the Corporate Finance team, supporting the Strategic Finance Manager for Revenue.

We are looking for candidates who are fully CABB-qualified, who have a strong understanding of financial accounting and excellent analytical skills.

In this role, you will be:

- preparing the Statement of Accounts and working papers, and working closely with internal and external audit
- leading on the provision of technical financial advice and training for colleagues across the council
- designing and monitoring sound financial practices and controls
- identifying opportunities for continuous improvement and modernisation
- playing a key role in implementing the new finance system
