Full Job Description

  • Develop multi-year roadmaps aligned with business and architecture strategy and priorities
  • Develop secure and high-quality production code, and reviews and debugs code written by others
  • Serve as the function's go-to subject matter expert on Finance and HR reporting data
  • Define the strategic Data Architecture and standards including path from current state to target state
  • Creates conceptual, logical and physical data models including data flows
  • Advise on software and application patterns to deliver the future state
  • Able to provide requirements to data developers at a low level as foundation for them to build code
  • Able to perform data reconciliations at a row level to identify causes of data quality issues and advise data developers on fixes or co-ordinate with source system SMEs to resolve issues at source
  • Champions the firm's culture of diversity, equity, inclusion, and respect Participate in all phases of the agile systems development life cycle, including requirements analysis, design (including code design and code reviews), development, testing and deployment, picking up data development tasks within a 2-week sprint, providing work estimates for tasks to project management, and participating in agile ceremonies

  • Formal training or certification on Architecture concepts and expert applied experience.
  • Five years of hands-on practical experience delivering system design, application development, testing, and operational stability
  • Six years of expertise in SQL and Python
  • Demonstrable experience with Finance and/ or HR master and transactional data
  • Ability to present and effectively communicate to Senior Leaders and Executives - must be able to synthesize technical recommendations, roadmaps, and dependencies into concise messages for leadership
  • 8 years cloud native experience, with Snowflake and Databricks
  • 8 years ELT experience, ideally with Informatica CDI and DBT
  • Experience with modern technology stacks, agile methodologies, and cloud computing
  • Experience of working with geographically dispersed development teams
  • Snowflake Data Engineers are required to have the following qualifications:
  • Minimum of 10 years of experience designing and implementing a full-scale data warehouse solution based on Snowflake.
  • A minimum of 10 years experience in developing production-ready data ingestion and processing pipelines using Java, Spark, Python.
  • Experience with complex data warehouse solutions on Teradata, Oracle, or DB2 platforms with 8 years of hands-on experience
  • Expertise and excellent proficiency with Snowflake internals and integration of Snowflake with other technologies for data processing and reporting.
  • A highly effective communicator, both orally and in writing
  • Problem-solving and architecting skills in cases of unclear requirements.
  • A minimum of 8 years of experience architecting large-scale data solutions, performing architectural assessments, examining architectural alternatives, and choosing the best solution in collaboration with both IT and business stakeholders.
  • Extensive experience with DBT, Informatica, and building data ingestion pipelines.
  • Expertise with Amazon Web Services, Microsoft Azure and Google Cloud.
  • Nice to have skills
  • 2 years experience with SAP Financials or SAP BW
  • 5 years experience with Power BI
  • 8 years experience with Informatica CDI
  • Experience with Databricks and Snowflake
  • Knowledge of machine learning and/ or artificial intelligence
