The Unit sits alongside the Department’s Public Bodies team within the Governance and Accountability branch.
As part of the new Better Regulation Framework, regulations impacting businesses will be subject to a new early gateway including independent scrutiny and a new type of assessment. Departments need to have sufficient evidence to support regulatory policies prior to seeking Cabinet agreement., Further details and interview slots will be released to candidates who are successful at sift.

An initial sift based on lead behaviour (communicating and influencing) and personal statement may be held if a large number of applications are received. Candidates who pass the initial sift may be progressed to a full sift or progressed straight to assessment/interview
