Health and Safety Manager

This role is available to current employees on the redeployment register or working within Wellbeing, Safety and Health only
This role will be based on the university campus with scope for it to be undertaken in a hybrid manner. We are also open to discussing flexible working arrangements.

This role sits within the Facilities Directorate and Professional Services Safety Hub that supports a diverse set of services, including Libraries, IT, Residential Services, Cleaning, Security & Facilities Assistance, Catering, Conferencing, Sports and Physical Activities, Print and Mail Services and Estates Services (not exhaustive). We are looking to appoint a H&S Manager, to join this ambitious team of H&S professionals who supports this wide range of support services at the University. Flexibility and pragmatism are key attributes to succeed in this role.
You will providing effective and proportionate advice and support the delivery of a safety management system including inspecting, accident investigation, training and auditing. You will assume responsibility for the continuous development of our safety management standards and procedures related to a range of services. You will undertake line management duties including supporting and developing team members. You will also be required to take the lead on service and University wide H&S projects and deputise for the Senior Health and Safety Manager in their absence.
