Full Job Description

We are looking for a HR Business Partner to join our team, this is a field-based position covering the Midlands to Scotland. You will join us on a full-time permanent basis. Our first ever Furniture Village store opened its doors in Abingdon in 1989 with a simple philosophy: to offer truly excellent products, prices, and service to all our customers. Thirty years and over 50 UK-wide stores later, this philosophy still holds true, and we are the country's number one, independently owned furniture retailer and still growing. We put gorgeous, stylish furniture within everybody's reach. This is both a strategic and hands on role, you will be trusted HR Partner providing input, strong influence and counsel on People Matters. Providing support to our Retail Stores and Fulfilment Centres. As part of your role, you will be able to quickly build strong relationships with managers and employees and be the key point of contact for HR related queries. You will be able to think on your feet, be solutions focused and results driven whilst also balancing long term thinking with delivering everyday operational excellence. Key responsibilities our HR Business Partner will have:

  • Manage and resolve complex employee relations issues.
  • Create people-centric plans to meet business demands.
  • Provide insights from employee data to improve processes, employee engagement and policy alignment across the business
  • Working with the Regional Managers you will work to ensure you recruit and attract the best talent
  • Ensure that managers can coach our colleagues effectively, so they fulfil their performance potential.
  • Take the lead on a wide range of HR projects.

  • You will have
  • Previous experience of working within a fast paced Regional HRBP/HR Manager role.
  • CIPD qualified or equivalent experience
  • Be a great relationship builder with proven partnering skills and clear commercial acumen
  • Excellent communication and influencing skills.
  • Solutions orientated mind-set with the ability to work accurately at pace and cope with ambiguity
  • Strong stakeholder management experience and the ability to deliver difficult messages
  • Experience of leading key projects for the business
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
