Full Job Description
Technical direction and of the core IT technologies underpinning the clinical applications, Security, Servers, Networking & Telecoms.
Operational leadership, responsible for the staff management, budgetary, governance, and procedural aspects of the Infrastructure team.
Ensuring the Infrastructure team adheres to the Trusts Cyber Security and ITSM standards, policies and procedures.
Accountable for the Infrastructure teams Digital project activities throughout the project lifecycle, ensuring alignment to project objectives.
Ownership of the Infrastructure support services to ensure systems are secure, reliable, available and perform as agreed., Day-to-day management of the Infrastructure team including recruitment, work allocation, setting and managing objectives and staff development.
Responsible for ensuring that 'business as usual' IT services are provided to the Trusts users in accordance with agreed levels of service and performance.
Assist in the financial planning and responsible for monitoring the Infrastructure related operational budgets, authorised signatory and for IT Infrastructure services.
Support the Trust in any buildings or clinical service related projects to oversee network design plans, ensuring compliance with organizational policies.
Manage IT relationship with 3rd party suppliers and assist in specifying, procuring and managing associated contracts, holding 3rd party suppliers to account.
Responsible for Infrastructure related software licence management and compliance ensuring policy, financial controls and process are in place
Work with system suppliers, users, managers, the IT Services Department, and other stakeholders in defining and delivering their IT infrastructure requirements.
Oversee the production of KPI and other operational reports, summaries and analysis of activity as required by the organisation.
Plan and agree allocation of the necessary resources to ensure that support service levels or project activities are maintained, working with the service delivery and project managers.
Contact for Infrastructure operational performance or security issues internally and for external organisations audits or request for information.
We are looking to appoint a enthusiastic and forward thinking person to lead the team and help drive the Trust technology forwards in a digital age. We are looking for a person with excellent communication and leadership skills who has the ability to work independently as well as part of a wider team.
The successful candidate will have have a technology background, experience of managing a team of server and networking professionals within a large network using highly resilient IT systems and Telephony services.
Experience in a NHS or Healthcare environment is not essential but would be desirable.
