Full Job Description

Now we are seeking and Apprentice ICT Support Technician to assist Corporate IT staff in providing ICT services to all of the Council's service Departments., You will have the opportunity to gain valuable skills, knowledge and experience as you complete an IT systems and networking - Azure Cloud Support Specialist - Level 3 Apprenticeship.,

  • Record and analyse any IT incidents or requests
  • Troubleshoot and resolve assigned IT related incidents
  • Ensure customers are dealt with in a speedy, efficient and courteous manner
  • Progress requests for new hardware and software, or equipment moves
  • Build and/or configure hardware equipment
  • Install and configure software to meet customer requirements
  • Ensure all hardware assets are appropriately badged
  • Maintain accurate records of work completed

    Good customer service skills
  • Eye for detail
  • Self-motivated
  • Good basic IT knowledge, 3 GCSE's (or equivalent) at grades 4+ (A-C) in any subject
  • GCSE Maths and English (or equivalents) at grades 3+ (D or above)
  • Prospective apprentices must not hold an existing qualification at the same or higher level as this apprenticeship is in a similar subject.
  • You may also have a combination of qualifications and experience which demonstrate the minimum foundation needed for the programme. In this instance you could still be considered for the programme.
