Full Job Description

An exciting opportunity has arisen to join the IT Training team at Gloucestershire Constabulary on a fixed-term contract for up to 12 months.

As a Constabulary, we are currently undergoing our biggest technical project in recent years by implementing a new Records Management System. The new system (NicheRMS) will replace a number of our existing software solutions and as a result, the vast majority of the organisation will be affected. As part of the implementation, we are developing a training schedule to upskill our workforce, which involves delivering training to approximately 2500 people. You'll play a key role in ensuring that our workforce has the necessary technical skills to help them reduce crime and keep people safe from harm.

It's a really exciting time to join us as we continue to invest in technology and new systems in order to enhance the service we provide to the public.

You will work as part of a team to design and deliver engaging training to a varied audience including Police Officers, Police Community Support Officers and Police Staff. You'll deliver training in-person using a variety of different delivery methods.

Outside of the classroom, you'll be responsible for developing user guides and videos so that delegates are well supported beyond the initial training event.

The training will take place at different venues across the Constabulary estate, including but not limited to Gloucester, Cheltenham and Berkeley. You may be required to work from any or all of these venues to support the training delivery.

In order to support a healthy work/life balance, flexi-time and hybrid working is available on days when you are not required to deliver face-to-face training. Flexi-time allows you to choose what time to begin and end work ensuring core hours are covered and that 37 hours are worked each week.

As a key member of the training team, we'd ideally like you to have a training qualification or prior training, coaching or mentoring experience. However, we are particularly keen to hear from applicants with a background in policing; especially those with knowledge of NicheRMS who would be able to hit the ground running.
