Full Job Description

We are seeking a Data Analyst with a versatile skill set to undertake data science and analytics supporting the development of next-generation products for Acxiom's business. As part of the Data Sciences & Analytics Team, you will work hands-on with innovative technologies to build scalable data products and solutions for our US and global businesses. Your responsibilities include collaborating with partners to identify insights from data, come up with modeling requirements, applying creativity to test hypotheses, prepare & automate data preparation processes, build models, analyze and visualize results and integrate the solution into innovative data products. What you will do:

  • Research and develop an understanding of Acxiom products, tools, and processes
  • Assist with the validation and delivery of products or improvements
  • Prepare analysis datasets by appending data, deduping, loading data to analysis application, and merging with other datasets
  • Perform queries on the data to discern data anomalies and quality audits to ensure the accuracy of the rules or statistical models prior to delivery to clients
  • Monitor model performance and adjust models as directed by team leads and senior data scientists
  • Perform analysis and maintenance on existing models & data products as well as the recalibration or re-development of data products
  • Assist with engineering, build teams, delivery and platform teams to ensure appropriate data delivery and presentation
  • Perform basic research/analysis which includes accuracy reports, cross-tabs, frequencies, data hygiene, correlations, data summarizations, and profiles reports or profile data
  • Collaborate with other data scientists and team leads to define project requirements including data sources, algorithms, and implementation
  • Offer ideas for product and/or process improvements such as automation related to focus area of work
  • Utilize data and partner with data scientists to develop build audience propensity models or data science algorithms used in creation of information products and analytical solutions for client and partner data applications.
  • Extract, load, and transform data as preparation for modeling. Build and maintain data mart solutions to support scored model outputs

    Working knowledge or experience with one or more of the following tools: SQL, R, Python, Scala, Spark or similar programming language
  • Ability to demonstrate critical thinking and enthusiasm for translating data into actionable insight to generate consistently accurate and useful analysis and models
  • Bachelor's Degree in a quantitative field (Applied Mathematics, Applied Statistics, Economics, or Computer Science) or related degree programs and relevant work or internship experience
  • Ability to work independently when given detailed specification and instruction
  • Knowledge in building models and knowledge of ML Algorithms (GLM, Decision Tree, Boosting, Bagging Trees, SVM, regression, clustering etc.)
  • Knowledge in statistical modeling techniques to conduct forecasting and other predictive modeling services using R, Python, Scala, Spark/pySpark

  • Experience with Tableau, Microsoft Excel, and Power Point
  • What will set you apart:
  • Knowledge of Deep Learning, Neural Network based on modeling frameworks a plus
  • Familiarity with cloud environments (e.g. AWS, Google Cloud Platform, Azure etc.) a plus
  • At least 1 year of experience in advanced analytics techniques in a consulting environment and not solely in an academic environment
