Level 2 / Level 3 Support Engineer - VMware and Microsoft

As a Support Engineer, you will play a crucial role in delivering onsite managed services for a key client, including hardware support and maintenance. This position requires travel to London, with hours from 8 AM to 5 PM and a one-hour lunch break. On-call support may be part of a pre-arranged rota., Provide technical support for VMware vCentre, vSphere, Active Directory, and Windows Server (2012-2022).

Manage Azure and Microsoft 365 environments.

Assist with hardware break/fix issues and maintain support tickets.

Engage in server and desktop component replacements, as well as printer maintenance.

Windows 10 and 11 skills

Laptop, PC and Server build skills needed

Printer maintenance and management

Replacing failed components on Servers and Desktops as needed

Hyper-V skills would be beneficial

Knowledge of keeping support tickets up to date

Knowledge of cloud solutions in Office 365 would be beneficial

Knowledge of Intel vPro technology a bonus

Good time management skills, self-disciplined, can work as a team and independent

Excellent communication skills, written and verbal

Experience:

Minimum 5 years' experience working in enterprise environment

Experience of working with multiple parties and stakeholders to deliver a solution

Good experience of supporting virtualisation & infrastructure solutions

Managing and implementation of change control procedures

Experience of project delivery

IT reseller experience is beneficial but not essential.
