Full Job Description

Leadership:

  • Provide guidance to the Product Owner team to ensure alignment with product requirements and appropriate acceptance criteria.
  • Collaborate with engineering, design, and member firm audit technology teams to understand project requirements and contribute to the overall success of the software development lifecycle.
  • Provides expertise and solutions for complex initiatives and can make independent decisions.
  • Facilitate communication between teams to address product defects and ensure alignment with product goals.
  • Acceptance Criteria Definition:
  • Review acceptance criteria with applicable product owners to ensure it aligns to the feature's desired outcome.
  • Lead the creation and completion of the Product team's sprint acceptance documentation.
  • Review the acceptance testing results of the QA Team to determine impact on acceptance and prioritization.
  • Cross-Functional Collaboration:
  • Collaborate with product owners to gather, define, finalize and clearly document acceptance criteria for product requirements.
  • Facilitate communication between teams to address challenges and ensure alignment with product goals.
  • Collaborate with project stakeholders to creating user journey documentation to ensure test plans meet business objectives.
  • Partner with support and engineering teams to determine if a software defect needs to be investigated, resolved or user training is required.
  • Monitor and report on progress, providing regular updates to project stakeholders.
  • Collaborate with QA Team on best practices, testcase design and knowledge transfer of requirements and common support/testing defect themes.
  • Product Team Testing:
  • Establish and enforce best practices within the Product team related to acceptance criteria validation, UAT and root cause analysis.
  • Conduct regular reviews to ensure compliance with Product team's International Standard on Quality Management (ISQM1) processes and documentation.
  • Lead the execution of Product team's validation and adherence to feature acceptance criteria.
  • Perform product team testing (i.e manifest comparison) at the end of each release and/or sprint to identify impacts of new features to active users and coordinating with applicable team members to find appropriate remediations.
  • Investigate manifest comparison differences and coordinate with applicable product owners and development team members to determine resolution and recommendation for deployment.
  • Provide technical expertise in evaluating and resolving complex testing issues and features (e.g. API testing).
  • Perform product team UI translation automation processes.
  • Defect Management
  • Analyse formal test results to identify defects, bugs, errors and deployment issues.
  • Recommend enhancements to applications and systems based on testing results.
  • Monitor and update defect status as needed to ensure timely assignment to maintenance releases.
  • Assist support teams by identifying and testing time sensitive defects and providing advice on system functionality.
  • Participate in the communication and analysis of test results and patterns, providing a feedback loop to requirements gathering, design and development teams.
  • Performs other duties as assigned

    The Product Quality Owner will play a pivotal role in leading the testing of current and future applications , ensuring alignment of feature acceptance criteria and performing technical release testing (e.g. code differences). The ideal candidate should have a strong background in manual software testing, API testing, technical testing, and demonstrate ability to analyse various data sets to provide a feedback loop to requirements gathering, design, testing approaches and future enhancements., Bachelor's degree in computer sciences or Accounting with experience in application development
  • Software testing certifications desired, The job requires effective communication (verbal and written) and project management skills to work with various levels and divisions within the organization.
  • Experience with application development using an agile methodology
  • Demonstrable experience working with web-based application testing experience in a lead role
  • Experience managing requirements, test cases, test results, and bugs
  • Experience in coordinating user acceptance testing
  • Strong organizational and communication skills
  • Ability to learn and adapt to a constantly changing technology and business requirements landscape.
  • Cultural awareness, the ability to work well with people from different disciplines and backgrounds.
  • Ability to be agile, respond positively to change and contribute with an innovative and global mindset.
  • Exceptionally good interpersonal skills and a good team player
  • Experience in presenting solutions and proposals to large groups, with an ability to articulate strategic objectives and technical detail with ease

  • Experience with global applications that require support for translation and localization
  • A basic understanding of the architecture for a cloud-based application, particularly around what is needed to support testing
  • Understanding of public accounting (specifically audit and/or accounting business areas
