Full Job Description

We are looking for a talented Material Planner to join our team specialising in Supply Chain for our Supply Chain Planning Department in Peterborough, United Kingdom. This is a hybrid role with a permanent Cummins contract, working 37.5 hours per week - Monday to Friday, 8:00am to 4:30pm , with two days per week in the office. In this role, you will make an impact in the following ways:

  • Efficient Supply Management: Manage a product portfolio and plan the inbound supply to PDCs at both UKLC and ELC in Belgium. Meet customer demands while working within inventory budgetary levels and avoiding excess stock within the supply chain. Ensure timely and accurate communication of changes in supply to stakeholders.
  • S&OE Process Support: Support the Sales & Operations Execution (S&OE) process to streamline operations within the EMEA region, contributing to more effective planning and execution.
  • Customer Back Order Management: Handle customer back orders to maintain customer trust and ensure their needs are met promptly.
  • Data Coordination and Accuracy: Gather, compile, and verify information accurately to support the team in making informed decisions based on reliable data.
  • Administrative Efficiency: Provide administrative support, such as preparing reports and handling complex information requests, to enhance the overall productivity and efficiency of the team.
  • Effective Communication: Respond to inquiries and redirect them appropriately to ensure both internal and external stakeholders receive accurate and timely information.
  • Stakeholder Engagement: Engage with stakeholders to ensure alignment and effective communication across various functions and regions.
  • Policy and Procedure Maintenance: Document and maintain departmental policies and procedures to ensure consistency and compliance within the team, contributing to a well-organized and efficient work environment.

    Communication: Excellent verbal and written skills, tailored to different audiences.
  • Plans and Aligns: Effectively plans and prioritizes work to meet commitments that are aligned with organisational goals.
  • Excel Skills: Proficient in Excel for data manipulation and visualization.
  • Data Analytics: Interprets and communicates data to derive business insights., Supply Chain Planning experience is essential.
  • Desirable: Experience using MRP/ERP systems.
