Our Paralegal & Support Lawyer capability is integrated within Alternative Legal Services (ALS) working seamlessly with the practice, ensuring efficient matter delivery from inception through to completion. The team deliver traditional paralegal support as well as process driven legal services, working seamlessly with our matter teams and other Alternative Legal Services teams to provide high quality, effective support. The purpose of the role is to:

  • Successfully deliver and assist others in the delivery of transactional matter work in accordance with instructions from the Practice; and
  • Provide the Practice with technical, strategic and practical know how on transaction support services., Ensure the consistent high quality of task execution and delivery of transactional legal services
  • Ensure adequate project management and supervision are in place and ensure adherence to appropriate quality control and data security procedures for all matters worked on
  • Generate and adhere to recommendations, project plans, cost estimates, procedures and specifications, ensuring quotes are provided and instructions are agreed in writing, with instructing principal/client before engagement
  • Anticipate and be reactive to changing client instructions and requirements
  • Ensure Paralegals & Support Lawyers (Transactional) Manager is made aware of all tasks / projects and the approach to delivery is discussed and confirmed with them
  • Act as a reference point for the Practice in relation to team resourcing and service issues, escalating any complaints from the Practice immediately to the Manager and working with the Manager to address these
  • Support the Project Leader and Manager of the team with management tasks as required
  • UK based, but providing global advice, support and specialist project management skills
  • Expected to be on call 24/7 during busy periods, Our Paralegals and Support Lawyers are fee earning team members who generate revenue for the Firm by advising, working and billing on client matters. The team work on some of the Firm's biggest mandates to provide cost effective support for both matter teams and clients. The team has a global presence and contains high calibre individuals with extensive experience across a wide range of matter types. The team is friendly and collaborative and we value individuals who are willing to share their experience, suggest new approaches or jump in to assist.

  • Good business acumen with sound understanding of legal market, 2:1 Degree (or equivalent)
  • LPC/SQE1/BPTC or Qualified Lawyer
  • 2+ years' experience of transactional delivery
  • Proven experience of leading transactional delivery support teams
