The Marine Management Organisation (MMO) is an executive non-departmental public body of the Department for Environment, Food and Rural Affairs.

More information about our work is on the GOV.UK website and you can read the MMO’s Story here., This fast paced and important role provides support to the Chief Executive Officer of the Marine Management Organisation (MMO), enabling them to deliver their important services both within MMO and across Defra Group.
The PA to the CEO will play a key role providing high level administrative and operational support as part of the CEO Executive Office. The role will provide high level bespoke PA support to the CEO, managing engagement with Minsters, MMO Board, MMO Executive Leadership Team (ELT), MMO colleagues and stakeholders. This will include providing professional and confidential support and managing correspondence, requests, diary management, inbox management, arranging meetings, arranging events, liaising with Director’s and the rest of the business.
This role interacts with some of the most senior levels of Government and the desirable candidate will be proactive in building strong relationships with key contacts across the government landscape to enable the CEO to work effectively.
The PA to the CEO will hold a pivotal role coordinating and facilitating meetings including ELT Management Board monthly meetings. This will include collating papers, preparing executive meeting packs and taking minutes. The PA to the CEO will work closely with the Advisor to the CEO to scope and plan the support required for the CEO, enabling them to be organised and prepared for meetings and engagement, planning for Board meetings, sub- committees and ELT collaboration.
This role will establish strong relationships with other PA’s, CEO offices and Directors, gaining their trust and confidence to enable effective relationships between the CEO and internal and external stakeholders. The role comes with an element of flexibility required as you may be asked to undertake other activities reasonably requested in line with supporting the CEO and executive leadership team.
