Full Job Description

The VOA corporate performance team fills a vital role at the heart of the VOA. This is a role in which you will gain an excellent overview of the agency and work closely with VOA's senior leaders and executive directors. The corporate performance lead is responsible for a team that is dedicated to developing and producing the VOA's performance reports for the Executive Committee, HMRC and key clients. Additionally, they will monitor the agency's delivery against its strategic objectives and targets. To be successful in this role you will need to be able to build effective working relationships across a wide range of stakeholders and draw out key messages and insights from various sources to ensure the Executive Committee have the information to drive performance improvements., As the Performance Team Lead, you will report to the Head of Governance and Risk. The main responsibilities are to:

  • Lead on the monitoring and reporting of VOA's performance to the Executive Committee, HMRC parent department and key stakeholders including clients.
  • Drive improvements in the Agency's monitoring and reporting of performance, working closely with Performance Leads across the organisation and HMRC.
  • Oversee the development of the Agency's performance framework including new performance measures, aligned with the VOA's objectives.
  • Improve the quality of the Agency's performance reporting and management information ensuring it is insightful, focused, and accessible and aligned with VOA's priorities.
  • Develop and produce regular or bespoke reports for decision makers including contributions to external publications such as the VOA's Annual Report & Accounts and Business Plan.
  • Develop performance insights and prepare briefings for senior leaders and external stakeholders.
