Full Job Description

We have been serving the older population in Richmond upon Thames for nearly 60 years, and we are committed to making a positive difference in their lives. We're looking for a Fundraising Manager to help identify, develop and win bids from major institutional donors, corporates and trusts and foundations that act like institutions etc., to build a sustainable portfolio to enable Age UK Richmond upon Thames to fund the work that we undertake. The post holder will support with the development and implementation of funding strategies across the funder segments that the post holder will be responsible for. This will include developing strategies for revenue diversification and increased engagement with existing and new funders, internationally and at a country level. To support, supervise and line manage others working on restricted programmes funding. Key responsibility

  • Contribute to Age UK Richmond upon Thames coordinated fundraising strategy as it relates to restricted programme funding.
  • To lead the development of winning bids and opportunities for Age UK Richmond upon Thames against agreed targets.
  • Take the lead in securing funding for our programmes by managing the proposal development cycle (preparing, submitting, and following up) of funding proposals to relevant donors.
  • Development of high-quality and compelling concept notes, proposals, and pitches for funding opportunities.
  • Undertake funder research and network mapping, building the donor prospect pipeline and undertaking pre-positioning to increase funding for Age UK Richmond upon Thames work
  • Working in close collaboration with the Programme Team lead the co-ordination of information sharing around pipeline and live opportunities.
  • In conjunction with the Programme Team and partners ensure that full cost recovery is built into all funding proposal budgets.
  • Support and/or lead on contract negotiations with donors.
  • To carry out the responsibilities of the role in a way that reflects Age UK Richmond upon Thames commitment to safeguarding in accordance with the organisation's Policy.

  • Ensure all activities are in line with the organisation's vision, mission and values and agreed procedures.
  • Undertake any other activities required by the Director of Age UK Richmond upon Thames, as appropriate.
