Full Job Description

The Product Manager is an important role with responsibility for setting priorities, making decisions and working closely with stakeholders for services that meet the needs of the end user. Ultimately you are responsible for delivering value for your users and the Department.

You will join as a Product Manager on one of our Universal Credit delivery teams. Focusing on realising our service vision, meeting user needs, and delivering valuable outcomes.

Digital Working Age Services in DWP delivers Universal Credit to over 6 million customers. It delivers financial support to some of most vulnerable people is society and delivers a range of products that help towards finding sustainable employment.

There are several feature teams, the current roles are to work with teams based in our London hub.

We are looking for a Product Manager who will be responsible for making evidenced-based strategic and tactical product decisions and making key priority calls.

You will be actively involved in developing the product strategy, owning the product roadmap and communicating product success to stakeholders but also defend controversial decisions about your product. You will also have experience of product management techniques.

While you will work independently, you'll also be part of a more complex project with the support of a Lead Product Manager.

Additionally, you'll be a part of our Product Community of Practice. Where Product Managers across DWP Digital come together to share learning, discuss their development needs, gain support and solve for common problems.
