We are looking for someone who can apply a broad range of skills and expertise in programme management and relationship and stakeholder management. They will need to effectively manage the relationships and needs of a complex stakeholder environment to help deliver the goal of migrating practices to new GP clinical systems.
Existing knowledge and experience of working in the NHS, and of managing a broad range of complex stakeholder relationships, often with conflicting priorities, are key aspects in successfully fulfilling this role.
This role is pivotal in bringing together all stakeholders to deliver against a shared plan, dealing with 3rd party suppliers, navigating complex governance processes and having difficult conversations will be everyday activities., The Digital Primary Care team's vision is to ensure primary care organisations can acquire and exploit the latest technology and data to improve the lives of patients and staff. Our purpose is to:
+ Enhance equitable access to services, better inform and empower patients, improve population health.
+ Optimise use of digital technology, reduce workforce burdens, and improve retention and wellbeing.
+ Foster creativity and innovation, improve pathway and workflow efficiency, and deliver value for money.
Our primary objectives are to ensure that:
+ Patients have digital routes to easily identify the correct care pathway suitable to their healthcare requirements and get the right help first time.
+ The processes for managing and accessing patient data held in the GP record are harmonised, so data is accessible to patients, the workforce and wider system as appropriate.
+ Frontline Primary Care services have modern digital products and services that better meet their needs, deployed in a way that maximises clinical safety, productivity, VfM and resilience to drive fully integrated care.
This role sits within the New Market Entrants part of our team who are responsible for technically & clinically assuring new General Practice IT solutions and, in partnership with suppliers, supporting the implementation of these new, innovative solutions across the General Practice and Primary Care estate.
Our team is broken into several workstreams so that we can give the right focus to Suppliers, Buyers and Users. This role will bridge all these workstreams.
The suppliers we are working with are often very new to this care setting / market. They rely on us for guidance and signposting. The ICBs we are working with are taking a risk and investing in a vision, we need to help them navigate this and balance this against other wider priorities. The GP practices and PCNs we are supporting are invested in the process but they will have other challenges and blockers which this role will be vital in resolving.
