This role will be based on the university campus with scope for it to be undertaken in a hybrid manner. We are also open to discussing flexible working arrangements.
The University of Leeds is one of the top 80 universities in the world. We have a truly global community, with more than 39,000 students from 170 different countries and over 9,000 staff of 100 different nationalities. Established in 1904, we have a strong tradition of academic excellence, reflected in first-class student education, along with world-leading research that has a real impact around the globe.
In the Digital Education Service, we enable the University's 10 year strategy for the growth of fully online education, through the provision of specialist online learning design and development expertise. Our focus is on engaging, accessible and inclusive learning experiences, underpinned by innovative digital pedagogies and technologies. We work collaboratively with academic partners, learners and across our teams through an evidence-based, solutions-focused, design-led approach.
As a Project Manager, you will be responsible for the successful progression of online education projects through the design, development and delivery lifecycle, including full degree programmes, modules, microcredentials, short courses and other forms of online learning.
You will bring your experience of managing and delivering high profile, concurrent complex projects throughout the entire project lifecycle with experience of applying best practice project methodologies, to proactively managing and enabling successful completion of online education projects. You will have strong communication and influencing skills with an ability to organise and work effectively with others, across internal teams, and with academic colleagues, senior stakeholders and external partners. You will play a key role in the management of work packages across a number of projects, ensuring specialist teams plan, schedule and deliver outputs to time, quality and budget. You will also provide project management expertise to the operational and reporting activities within the Online Learning team, including leading on discrete projects and service improvement to further the Service's strategy.
We are a large team, with a commitment to quality online education and learning from each other. We work flexibly to understand learners' needs and academic colleagues' aims and work in partnership to achieve the shared goal of an effective and enjoyable online learning experience that enables our students to succeed.
