Projects will range in values as noted above and the majority within an hour of their Bristol offices. All internal systems are in place.
You will be able to demonstrate a successful track record in providing quantity surveying duties with the civils / construction industry and ideally have experience of formwork, rebar and concrete works. Duties will include:
1. Managing the commercial and contractual obligations of multiple small to medium sized projects.

5. Site visits including negotiating variations and final accounts with clients.
6. Compiling accurate and up to date costs for each project including cost reports.
The Candidate

The ideal candidate will have previous experience of working as a Quantity Surveyor for either a main contractor or ideally a RC Structures / formwork / rebar and concrete contractor / sub-contractor. Applications are welcome from both senior level candidates along with more junior level candidates as further training and mentoring will be provided. The role would appeal to someone looking for a challenge and the opportunity to be an integral part of a growing business that will provide long term career prospects and progression and be passionate about what you do.
You will be able to integrate and work as part of a team. You will be organised and able to deal with any situation as and when it arrives, along with being proactive and driven.
Skills required for the role include

4. Ideally have a construction related degree / HNC / HND / NVQ or similar.
5. Have an appropriate CSCS card.

My clients are a well-established and well-respected local formwork and concrete structures contractor. They have been established for over 20 years and operate throughout the UK, although generally within an hour of their Bristol offices. They specialise within the rail and civils industries, including structures and formwork packages on building projects. They work on projects with values up to 1.3m although average values are up to 150k with a turnover of around 3m per year. In essence they are a RC Structures company, they consider themselves to be a very professional organisation and are well respected by their clients.
Due to their continued success and organic expansion plans they are looking to recruit an experienced Quantity Surveyor to join their small but friendly team.
