Full Job Description

We are seeking to recruit an enthusiastic, skilled and motivated individual to join our team. The post holder will be responsible for providing a high-level comprehensive rota coordination for the department's clinical leads and fellows, as well as support of the Radiology training programme lead. Furthermore, the role will provide support for validation and external imaging processing.
We are looking for someone who embodies our Trust Values and someone who appreciates the importance of quality administration in the delivery of healthcare. The successful candidate will have prior experience in an administrative setting and feel confident to make decision and liaise directly with clinical staff. Ability to work autonomously and prioritise their own workload with a commitment to completing tasks to the best possible standard.

The use of AI will be monitored and if applicants have used it this should be declared in the supporting statement., + To manage the rota for 26 consultants, within Body Radiology, Neuroradiology and Interventional Radiology.
+ Be the first point of contact for the three clinical leads around scheduling conflicts in their calendars.
+ Be the first point of contact for clinicians to report absence (planned leave and sickness/emergency leave) and support cover arrangements with management for resulting gaps in operating and scanner lists, clinics and on call cover
+ To support validation of RTT and DM01 on a weekly basis, deliver high quality administrative review that impact documentation of patients' pathways and overall impacting the Radiology department's monthly performance
+ To escalate long waiters within performance to subsequent modality's team leaders and Assistant Service Managers in accordance with the Trust's Access Policy.
+ To be responsible for ensuring appropriate cross-cover arrangements, such as daily case assignments to the appropriate clinician, are used to review all referrals within the stipulated reporting timescales
+ To manage daily the referral inboxes (internal and external) with timely and high-quality communication towards Radiology Consultants for urgent reporting.
+ Demonstrate excellent communication and interpersonal skills including the ability to exercise diplomacy and a good telephone and email manner
+ To identify and implement ways of improving the systems (Health Roster, Excel and Epic based rota listing) within the service

An exciting opportunity has become available in the Core Clinical Services Directorate at Great Ormond Street Hospital for Children NHS Foundation Trust (GOSH).
